Electronic Arts announced today its new mobile game set in the Lord of the Rings universe. The name of the game, which will be developed in cooperation with Middle-earth Enterprises and Electronic Arts, which owns the legal rights to the Hobbit and LOTR series, has been announced as The Lord of the Rings: Heroes of Middle-earth. Electronic Arts, which plans to offer LOTR: Heroes of Middle-earth to a limited number of regional beta tests in the summer, shared details about the new mobile game that arouses curiosity among the players with its share on its official website.

The Lord of the Rings: Heroes of Middle-earth will be free to play!

The new LOTR game will be completely free to play. According to Electronic Arts, the game will have an immersive story and include many characters from the Lord of the Rings universe, as well as turn-based combat mechanics. It will require a stable internet connection to experience LOTR: Heroes of Middle-earth, which will also include in-game purchases and age restrictions. The Lord of the Rings: Heroes of Middle-earth will be the first mobile game developed by Electronic Arts, inspired by LOTR and the Hobbit world.

No clear release date yet for The Lord of the Rings: Heroes of Middle-earth. Considering that it is in the late development phase, the new LOTR mobile game may be released in late 2022. Electronic Arts can reveal more information about the game at the Summer Game Fest, which will be held from June 9-12.
