Riot Games donates $1 million to charities in Ukraine!

Support to Ukraine from Riot Games, which we know from the online gaming community!

Battle pass proceeds from Valorant, LOR, TFT and Wild Rift games will go to charities.

As the tension after Russia's invasion of Ukraine escalates, the reactions from the gaming world are increasing. Russia, the country with the most players in the CIS region, is known for its successful history, especially in FPS type online games. ESL and BLAST banned all Russian teams from tournaments, Microsoft and Electronic Arts recently suspended product sales in Russia, CD Projekt RED and 11-bit Studios donated their game sales to Ukraine, and Sony Riot Games took a step after radical decisions such as not releasing Gran Turismo 7 in Russia.

According to the official statement made by Riot Games, a total of $ 1 million will be donated to charities trying to deliver aid to individuals affected by the war in Ukraine. In addition, revenues from the battle pass system sold in Valorant, Legends of Runeterra, Teamfight Tactics and Wild Rift games between March 5-12 will be delivered to the region as aid.

Riot Games' official statement on the subject is as follows:

"The war in Ukraine has caused an ever-escalating humanitarian crisis. Since it started, we've heard players around the world want to help – and we're responding to their call.

Proceeds from battle pass sales for VALORANT, Legends of Runeterra, Teamfight Tactics and Wild Rift between March 5 and March 12 All proceeds, as well as the proceeds of the new Bee skin series in League of Legends, will be donated to support humanitarian efforts in the region.

In addition to the player-sponsored fundraising event, Riot will donate $1 million to three humanitarian nonprofits:

  • International Medical Corps
  • Médecins Sans Frontières / Doctors Without Border
  • Polish Red Cross

All proceeds from both Riot's donation and the player fundraiser will directly support humanitarian relief in Ukraine and other affected areas."
