Bethesda is bringing its games to Steam by shutting down its own game launcher.

In May, Bethesda's PC game launcher will be shutting down.

Bethesda, one of the world's most popular game producers and developers, known for Wolfenstein, The Elder Scrolls, DOOM Eternal, Dishonored, Deathloop, Prey, RAGE games and Fallout series, has decided to close its own game launcher on the PC platform. According to the statement made on the official website, Bethesda will close its launcher and move its games to Steam. Thus, it is certain that Bethesda games that will be released in the coming dates will come to Steam.

Players will be able to transfer all the games they already have on the Bethesda launcher to their Steam accounts for free. Bethesda advised players to migrate their products from the launcher, which will remain active until May, to Steam as soon as possible.

The statement by Bethesda is as follows:

"You will be able to migrate your Bethesda.net library to your Steam account in early April. All the games you own in the Bethesda launcher will be available to you for free on Steam. Your purchases will be transferred to your Steam account. Many game saves will also be transferred, but some of them may require manual copying. You will be able to access and play your games on the Bethesda launcher until May, but we recommend starting the migration process as soon as possible."

Players will still need Bethesda.net accounts even after transferring items from their library to Steam and stopping using the Bethesda launcher. The accounts in question will allow users to access modes, costumes, content and news within the games. The wallet balance on Bethesda.net will also be transferred to Steam. In addition, Bethesda announced that the progress and records of the games will be transferred to Steam exactly, and there will be no loss in the experience of the players. The wallet balance on Bethesda.net will also be transferred to Steam.
