Microsoft acquires Activision Blizzard for approximately $70 billion.
Microsoft, one of the largest technology companies in the world, bought Activision Blizzard, whose name has been taken on sexual harassment charges recently, for 68.7 billion dollars.By far the largest acquisition in the history of the gaming industry, Microsoft acquired Call of Duty, Warcraft, Overwatch, Crash Bandicoot, Guitar Hero, Diablo, Tony Hawk's Pro Skater and Activision Blizzard, the producer of many games.
Diablo, Starcraft, Call of Duty and more are now on Xbox!
Activision Blizzard, one of the most established and popular companies in the gaming world, will now continue its activities under the Xbox brand. In addition to popular series such as Diablo and Call of Duty, productions such as Hearthstone and Starcraft will be brought exclusively to Xbox. Microsoft's agreement includes the acquisition of 30 different game studios, including Beenox, Demonware, High Moon Studios, Raven Software, Sledgehammer Games and Treyarch.
