Riot Games multi-step verification system announced!

The multi-step verification system has finally arrived in Riot Games games!

Riot Games, which includes the most popular games of recent times, announced the multi-step verification system to its players. The new multi-factor authentication system is much more advanced than the old system, which only asks you to enter a code when logging in on a new or unapproved device. You will now be able to receive a new code for each session more securely.

What is Riot Games Multi-Factor Verification?

Multi-step verification is an electronic security measure that allows players to access their accounts only after they have submitted two types of verification. It aims to prevent people from logging into other people's accounts and to protect those accounts and information with more than just a username and password that can be hacked.

Why is it Important?

If you want to make sure that you are putting hours into your account and that all your efforts are safe from potential threats. By enabling multifactor authentication you will be able to protect your password, payment information and of course your champions and collectibles. While optional, we recommend that all players take advantage of the added security opportunity by using the multi-factor authentication feature.

Multi-step verification is now available to players using Riot as their official login platform. This includes Riot game clients, Riot Client, Riot Mobile, and riotgames.com. There will be no multi-factor authentication option for players logging in using Garena and other third-party platforms.

Riot games says: "In the multi-step verification system, you currently need to verify via e-mail. But we're constantly working to improve the player experience, and we'll keep you updated this year."
